What an amazingly wonderful day we had!!!

Thank to everyone who showed up, danced, ate, jumped and contributed to our fundraiser.  We could not have had a spectacular day without you.

Several of our recipient families were at the Block Party. They were able to enjoy food, drinks, toys for the kids from Maya’s Free Store, arts/crats at Kyra’s Kids section and the Girl Scouts Duck Pond (one Girl Scout even dressed up as a clown and handed out treats).

Our next projects are feeding 750 families in December and providing a local school with Recess Enrichment items in November.

Yellow Boomerang is a community-based charity that supports residents of Montgomery County in need of food, clothing, school supplies and housewares.  Recipients include families on government assistance, recent migrants, and low income individuals in job transition.  Recent projects have provided holiday dinners to local families, backpacks to students in need, and clothing to refugee families new to the area.  Proceeds from the Block Party will fund our next two planned projects:

• Providing holiday dinners to 400+ local families in need (Fall 2022)
• Providing games, equipment, and other recess enrichment activities for low-income/under-resourced school districts in Montgomery County (Fall 2022-2023)

• Even if you can’t join us for the block party, we need your support!
  Your donation will make a significant and immediate improvement in the quality of life of our neighbors in need
